A letter is a symbol used for writing a certain sound.
The alphabet:
The set of 26 letters used to write English is called the alphabet.
English letters written in the larger form are capital letters while the letters written in the smaller form are small letters.

In English, letters have different sounds.
For example, In word 'good' the sound of 'g' and that of in 'ginger' is different.
So students should learn first proper sound of each letter.
