डॉ. होमी भाभा बालवैज्ञानिक स्पर्धा १९८१ पासून ग्रेटर बॉम्बे सायन्स टीचर्स असोसिएशन द्वारे आयोजित केली जाते. या अनोख्या चार टप्प्यातील स्पर्धेचे उद्दिष्ट कुतूहल जागृत करणे, समस्या सोडवण्याची वृत्ती तसेच तरुण शास्त्रज्ञांमध्ये निरीक्षण आणि मोटर कौशल्यांमध्ये अचूकता विकसित करणे हा आहे. स्पर्धेच्या माध्यमातून विद्यार्थ्यांना त्यांच्या तत्काळ वातावरणाविषयी संवेदनशील बनवणे आणि जेव्हा गरज असेल तेव्हा तर्कशुद्ध पुढाकार घेण्याचे धाडस करणे हे GBSTA चे उद्दिष्ट आहे.
कोण सहभागी होऊ शकते:- फक्त 6 वी मध्ये शिकणारे विद्यार्थी. आणि इयत्ता 9वी.
माध्यम:- इंग्रजी आणि मराठी
(टीप:- सेमी-इंग्रजी विभागातील विद्यार्थी त्यांच्या सोईच्या पातळीनुसार इंग्रजी किंवा मराठी माध्यमासाठी जाऊ शकतात. निवडलेले माध्यम स्पर्धेच्या पुढील सर्व टप्प्यांसाठी समान राहील. निवडलेल्या माध्यमात कोणताही बदल GBSTA द्वारे परवानगी नाही).

ज्ञानावर आधारित प्रश्नांवर कमी आणि समज, तर्क, सहसंबंध, उपयोजन इत्यादींवर जास्त भर दिला जाईल. बहुतांश प्रश्न हे महाराष्ट्र राज्य बोर्डाच्या विज्ञान पाठ्यपुस्तकांचे असतील आणि ICSE, IB आणि CBSE विज्ञान पाठ्यपुस्तकांतील वरील विषयाशी संबंधित असतील. दैनंदिन जीवनाभोवती विज्ञान आणि विज्ञानातील सामान्य ज्ञानाशी संबंधित प्रश्न.
1. 6 वी साठी.- 4 थी, 5 वी आणि 6 वी ची पाठ्यपुस्तके. महाराष्ट्र राज्य बोर्ड आणि ICSE, IB आणि CBSE पुस्तकांमधून वरील विषयाशी संबंधित सामग्री
अ) चौथी इयत्तेतील अंदाजे 10% प्रश्न. अभ्यासक्रम,
b) इयत्ता 5 वी वर अंदाजे 20% प्रश्न. अभ्यासक्रम,
c) इयत्ता 6 वी वर अंदाजे 60% प्रश्न. अभ्यासक्रम,
ड) विज्ञानातील सामान्य ज्ञानावरील अंदाजे 10% प्रश्न.

एक विद्यार्थी स्पर्धेसाठी ऑनलाइन नोंदणी करू शकतो; शाळेद्वारे किंवा वैयक्तिकरित्या.
• खाजगी वर्ग किंवा अकादमी द्वारे नोंदणी सक्त मनाई आहे.
- सेमी-इंग्रजी विभागातील विद्यार्थी त्यांच्या सोयीनुसार इंग्रजी किंवा मराठी माध्यमात जाऊ शकतात. निवडलेले माध्यम स्पर्धेच्या पुढील सर्व टप्प्यांसाठी समान राहील. GBSTA द्वारे निवडलेल्या माध्यमात कोणताही बदल करण्याची परवानगी नाही).

2. तुमचा मागील वर्षांचा शाळेचा लॉगिन आयडी आणि पासवर्ड वापरून लॉगिन करा.
. तुमची शाळा प्रोफाइल संपादित करा. ड्रॉपडाउन सूचीमधून 3 पसंतीची केंद्रे निवडा.
-. सर्व तपशील अचूक भरल्यानंतर 'सहमत आणि सबमिट करा' वर क्लिक करा.
5. आता Pay Students Fees वर क्लिक करा. विद्यार्थ्यांची संख्या प्रविष्ट करा. रक्कम आपोआप मोजली जाईल.

HOMI BHAВНА EXAMS
Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition is conducted by Greater Bombay Science Teachers' Association since 1981. This unique four stage competition aims at arousing curiosity, problem solving attitude along with development of precision in observational and motor skills in young scientists. Through the competition GBSTA also aims at sensitizing students towards their immediate environment and dare to take rational initiatives whenever needed.
. Who can participate: - Students studying only in 6th std. and 9th std.
C. Medium:- English and Marathi
(Note:- Students from Semi-English section can go for English or Marathi medium as per their comfort level. Selected medium will remain the same for ALL further stages of the competition. NO CHANGE IN THE SELECTED MEDIUM IS PERMITTED BY GBSTA).

Syllabus
Less emphasis will be given for knowledge based questions and more emphasis for understanding, reasoning, correlation, application etc. Majority of the questions will be from Maharashtra state board science text books and Content related to the above from ICSE, IB and CBSE science textbooks. The questions related to general knowledge in science and science around day to day life.
1. For 6th std.- Textbooks of 4th, 5th and 6th std. of Maharashtra State Board and Content related to the above from ICSE, IB and CBSE books
a) Approximately 10% questions on 4th std. syllabus,
b) Approximately 20% questions on 5th std. syllabus,
c) Approximately 60% questions on 6th std. syllabus,
d) Approximately 10% questions on General knowledge in science.
1. For 9th std. - Textbooks of VII, VIII and IX std of Maharashtra State Board and Content related to the above from ICSE, IB and CBSE books.

2. Login using your last years School Login Id and Password.
. Edit your school profile. Select 3 preferred centers from the dropdown list.
-. After filling all the details correctly click on 'AGREE AND SUBMIT'
5. Now Click on Pay Students Fees. Enter no of students. Amount will be calculated automatically.
